This Winchester manufactured first variation lower tang is for the earlier post 64 model 94 top eject lever action carbines manufactured roughly between 1964 and 1967 and having a serial number between 2,700,000 and 3,000,000. This lower tang has the two support rails on the side of the front most section that lock into the receiver and lacks the small double protruding points at the front. The second variation tangs do have the double protruding points but are likely interchangeable. This tang is in very good condition with light wear. (file photo)
